AMTEX 2017 is the premium machine tool exhibition in Asia, which is being held from the 12 th to the 15 th of April 2017 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon (East), Mumbai, India. AMTEX is a very highlyreputed platform for display of latest technological innovations in the machine tools and manufacturing sector in the Northern region of India, and finished its 10 th edition in July 2016 at Pragati Maidan; and is now looking to capture the attention of the manufacturing professionals in the Western region of India through its second edition in Mumbai.
The first edition of AMTEX in Mumbai was held in 2015 and was a successful show and saw participation of 217 exhibitors including 47 international participants, and over 12000 business visitors. The approximate exhibition area was 65,000 Sq. Ft.
The AMTEX team has decided to organize the show in Mumbai and in India in alternative years, to provide an opportunity to the machine tool sector to spread their nets for business opportunities. Talking specifically about the potential of the Western India market, Mr. Cyril Pereira, Managing Director of Reed Triune Exhibitions said, “Maharashtra is ranked amongst the most industrialized states of India with a large base of original equipment manufacturers, and is one of the largest consumption centers of machine tools in India. AMTEX proposes to enter the Mumbai market and be positioned as the premium machine tool event offering high quality infrastructure and visitors, helping international players tap the production and consumption hot spots of Western India.”
AMTEX 2017 has also decided to be very aggressive with their promotional strategies for this exhibition among the Exhibitors and potential Visitors, and have been very active on social media, web, appropriate industrial portals, as well as in the offline mediums such as industrial magazines, hoardings in important industrial areas of Maharashtra, and by maintaining a personal touch with all the Companies. As a part of the promotion of the exhibition, a launch event was orgaznized in Pune called the ‘Industrial Networking Meet’, which happened on the 7th December 2016. Pune is one of the most highly industrious areas of Maharashtra, and the turnout for the meet was not disappointing at all. The event saw a gathering of top management from the Manufacturing sector, Members of Industrial Associations, and Media. There was a panel discussion on the ‘current scenario of the machine tool industry in the Western Region of India’, which led the conversation to talking about the effect of GST to the manufacturing industry.
This edition of AMTEX will also see the exclusive Business Matchmaking Program, which is dedicated to conducting assured meetings between the exhibitors and the visitors during the Exhibition. This is an online activity, and will be shortly available to all the Exhibitors and Pre-registered Visitors.
